Sofia was recently hired as an empathy coach at a debt collection agency—and clearly, she has her work cut out for her. These employees can barely identify what an emotion is, much less practice deep, radical compassion for others. And while they painstakingly stumble towards enlightenment, someone keeps mugging Eva in the kitchen. An outrageous comedy about the absurdity—and the danger—of a world where some people’s feelings matter more than others’.

Meet the cast

GISSELLE GONZALEZ (She/Her/Ella)

Gisselle Gonzalez (She/Her/Ella) is a 9–5 corporate girl by day, theatre girlie by night, thankfully, the day job pays for the things she actually loves (acting and sipping Matcha). Gisselle is thrilled to be stepping into this story with such an incredible team of artists. Some of her favorite roles include Sugar in Tiny Beautiful Things (CCA), Marisol in Zyanya: Always and Forever, Bruja in Bless Me, Última (Su Teatro), Revolutionary in Empire of Solitude, Liana in You’ll Be Made of Ashes Too (Flamboyán Theatre), and Luisa in Zorro the Musical (Wheat Ridge Theatre). She dedicates this performance to everyone who keeps her grounded, inspired, and caffeinated. Gisselle would also like to thank you, the audience, for supporting live theatre, because the magic only exists when you’re here.

JOSHUA WILSON (He/Him)

Joshua is very excited to be a part of The Moot Projects production of Do You Feel Anger as this will be his first time working with The Moot Project. Joshua is a Rising Junior BFA Music Theatre Student at Illinois Wesleyan University. Most recently he was in A Year with Frog and Toad as Frog and Execution of Justice as Sister Boom Boom, Joseph Freitas Jr., and others at IWU. Last summer he was in Spring Awakening through Impact Theatre Collective as an ensemble member and male swing. Some student works at IWU include Loud Stone in Eurydice and Norman Mushari in God Bless you Mr. Rosewater. He would like to thank his family and close friends for always supporting his journey and being excited for every show he's in. Enjoy the show!

JACOB DAVID SMITH (he/him)

Jacob David Smith is an award-winning actor, writer and director, originally from Des Moines, Iowa. He recently landed in Denver after several years in Los Angeles.
He studied directing and playwriting at the University of Iowa, and graduated from Cornell College with honors in playwriting. Smith works in development with Hold for Plane Pictures and Marasco Media. Jacob is former Artistic Director of L.A. based Theatre Unleashed where he oversaw production of over 50 plays and live theatre events.
A decades-long advocate for Autism awareness, Smith has taught acting classes, film classes, and supervised internships for young adults on the Autism spectrum.
Currently, Smith’s feature film, THE SLINKY MOVIE, produced by Be Brave Media, Storyoscopic Films, and Just Play is going into production. Other film writing credits includethe Tubi original, PREPARE TO DIE (Tubi Original), SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN SAMURAI (The Asylum), and THE BALLERINA ASSASSIN (Vermicious Knid Entertainment)
Recent acting roles include REVOLT. SHE SAID. REVOLT AGAIN. with The Moot Point Project, THE 39 STEPS with Timberlake Playhouse, and IT HAD TO BE YOU with The Dixon Historic Theater.
Jacob is excited to be a part of The Moot Point Project, and to further explore and participate in the Denver theatre scene.

CARSON COFFEY (He/Him)

Carson Coffey(He/Him) is thrilled to be doing his second show with The Moot Point Project after Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again. He has a BFA in acting from the University of Northern Colorado. UNC CREDITS: Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde(Jekyll), 42nd Street, Murder on the Orient Express, The Government Inspector. OTHER CREDITS: Much Ado About Nothing(Don Pedro), As You Like It(Orlando), Peter and the Starcatcher, Heathers(J.D.). He is so very thankful for everyone who made this process possible, as well as his parents and sister, Miko, for instilling in him his flair for the dramatic.

NICOLE CARON (She/Her)

Nicole Caron has made the theatrical arts her soul priority since moving to Denver in late 2024. She's been performing on stage since she was 8 and finally decided in her very late 30s to do the thing she loves most in the world as much as possible. Theater is home and theater companies that push boundaries are her forte and therefore she's so excited to be performing with The Moot Point Project for the first and, hopefully, not the last time! You'll also find her riding her bike, walking dogs, and dancing like everyone's watching all around the city.

STEFI ADAMS (she/her)

Stefi has played a wide variety of roles on and off stage over her long strange arc from grandson to grandmother.
These include Father Flynn in Doubt, Mortimer in Arsenic and Old Lace, Otto in Design for Living, Mr. Applegate in Damn Yankees, Gooper in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and Eddie and Roger in two different productions of Musical Comedy Murders of 1940. She has engaged audiences in over 250 murder mystery parties. She has also been a software engineer, a registered nurse, a cook, an architect, a mechanic, and a rancher.
She hopes that this important production deeply moves everyone it touches and evokes many feelings.
