HK is a little lost. They just quit their job as a police officer, broke up with their cowboy-partner, and made a vendetta with their brother-in-law. They find themselves caught in the throes of a family drama, noir, and romance. And worst of all, nobody will stop commenting on the fact that they are wearing a Hello Kitty™ mascot costume (but it’s slightly off because of copyright laws).
Tickets will go on sale Sunday, October 25th at 9:00am.
Seating will be limited (30 per show). Please RSVP below to receive updates and reminders when tickets go live.
Tickets will be $15 in our mission to keep our theatre financially accessible, though we understand that even $15 can be inaccessible. If there is a financial barrier, please email us at themootpointproject@gmail.com.
There is parking available in front of The Warehaus as well as street parking nearby. We encourage carpooling! This is a step-free, accessible space with one medium sized bathroom on the lot.
The show runs approximately 90 minutes with no intermission. We open our doors a half hour before the start time of each show.
We do not offer refunds, however we can offer ticket exchanges. Please email us at themootpointproject@gmail.com for any requests.
The show is PG-13. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Brian Dang (they/she), or simply “b,” is a Vietnamese/Chinese poet/playwright and teaching artist based in Providence, RI by way of Seattle, WA. Her plays are a mixture of devised and scripted elements, often about the political domestic. For Brian, writing is an act of envisioning an eventual communing and an opportunity to be common. Her plays include Grandmother/Bathtub (Theater Mu New Eyes Festival, Yale Cabaret, O’Neill Finalist ’25, Sparkfest Finalist ‘24) and This time (Undermain Fund for New Work, O’Neill Finalist ‘22, Many Voices Fellowship Semi-Finalist ‘22) and their poetry work includes 49 words I wish I could write in my family’s language, a collaborative translation project. True Smith, Director
True Smith (she/they) is a holistic theatre artist rooted in community and activism in Denver. As a director, playwright, producer, and educator, True brings a distinct perspective to the stage. Her work focuses on creating safe, collaborative artistic spaces. Her dedication to pushing the boundaries of theatre and to addressing relevant, yet often uncomfortable, topics has led her to direct contemporary, timely shows with an experimental element such as Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again. By Alice Birch, Lungs by Duncan Macmillan, Plano by Will Arbery, and Avocado by V Ensler. Along with new work developments such as Felltounge by Jo Steele and Clara's Little Questions by Helen R. Murray and TYA productions Novio Boy by Gary Soto and ¡Lotería: Game On! by Mabelle Reynoso.
True's passion is directing thought-provoking and relevant productions that serve a larger purpose: the community. Following a summer internship with Diversity in the Arts in Denver, as a Su Teatro Summer Programs Intern, True joined Su Teatro Cultural and Performing Arts Center as a full-time staff member. They are a Programs Associate, and a Teaching Artist, where she is grateful to fully immerse herself in professional theatre and the local community. They also co-founded The Moot Point Project in 2024, with the mission to bring experimental theatre to Denver.
True is grateful for all the support her Colorado theatre familia and her family back in San Antonio Texas. She would also like to extend gratitude to b, thank you for your poetry, and thank you to my ensemble for your trust.
Sarah Ausloos, Stage Manager
Sarah Ausloos is a Denver-based theatre producer, director, and educator. She recently graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Theatre Education and Theatre Studies (directing and management concentrations) with a certificate in Arts Entrepreneurship. While young in her professional career, Sarah is excited to start off with The Moot Point Project and pursue her passion in not just creating theatre, but supporting what her friends create as well!
In college, Sarah directed not one, but two, plays with non-linear time-lines where the wife died of cancer ("Constellations" and "Bright Half Life"...she has a niche). Other directing credits include "Bethany" by Laura Marks and "Square Footage" by Jessica Moss. For two years Sarah served as the Co-President of Chaos Improv in addition to serving on the board of many other student production groups.
Ashton Turner, Lighting Designer
Megan Dille, Producer
Diligent and passionate, I have a proven ability to effectively lead and participate in the development of new theatrical environments. I am a Colorado native and University of Northern Colorado alum (‘sko bears). As a young and emerging artist, I seek ways to reimagine traditional aspects of live performance to engage new audiences and amplify young, underheard voices. Immersive art is my passion. I believe that utilizing immersive techniques can create long-lasting, mnemonic memory of the performance.
My recent directing credits include: "Information for Foreigners," a fully staged, simultaneous double promenade in an unoccupied dormitory; "Godzilla 4+4 Las Vegas," a story told through dance of Godzilla eating Las Vegas; and "Dichotomize Me!," at the Denver Fringe Festival, an intimate immersive new play written by Moot Pointer True Smith.
